Treating Car Sickness: An (Un)Happy Thanksgiving

My 12-year-old son gets carsick. Last Thanksgiving he stuffed himself with food. He must have forgotten about the car ride home. The backseat of my car was pretty much covered with his vomit. My 9-year-old daughter was screaming at the top of her lungs. I have yet to find out how to get his carsickness to go away (if even possible). If you have any tips or suggestions, please let me know.
