You and the kids bake some cupcakes, you plop them into a jar, you add some frosting, and you get an inexpensive, winning gift nobody will be able to resist. Sweet!
  • Cake mix (boxed is fine)
  • Muffin pan (ideally, a mini-muffin pan)
  • Cupcake liners
  • Frosting
  • Half-pint mason jar
  • Ribbons or tags
  • 1
Make the cupcakes as per the package directions. Line muffin pan with cupcake liners, and bake as package suggests.
  • 2
Once out of the oven, let cupcakes cool completely, about 1 hour.
  • 3
Cut cupcakes in half vertically. Place each half in jar, spooning the frosting in between the halves. Frost top of cupcakes. Seal jar with lid.
  • 4
Decorate the jar with colored ribbons or personalized tags.
