Berry Cool Oatmeal
Start the day with a berry delicious breakfast!
- 1 cup steel-cut oats
- 4 cups water
- ½ cup fresh or frozen petite blueberries
- Brown sugar
- In the evening, before bedtime, boil four cups of water in a pot, add one cup of steel-cut oats and lower the heat to medium. Stir until all the liquid has been absorbed. Turn off the heat, cover the pot. Let the pot sit out overnight. Go to sleep!
- In the morning, bring oats to a brisk boil, turn down to a simmer and cook until they are just tender, creamy and a bit chewy, about 7 to 10 minutes.
- Serve with blueberries and brown sugar. Yum!
