A delicious dessert with some common fruits, so you don't have to go on a super search to find them!

  • 4 medium pears
  • 6 medium apples
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup granulate sugar
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour (topping)
  • ¾ cups granulated sugar (topping)
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar (topping)
  • ½ tsp kosher salt (topping)
  • 1 cup old fashion oatmeal
  • 2 sticks cold unsalted butter, diced
  • 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • 2
Peel, core, and cut the pears and apples in large chunks. Place the fruit in a large bowl and add the zest, juices, ½ cup sugar, ¼ cup flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour in a 9x12x2 inch baking dish.
  • 3
For topping: Combine 1½ cups flour, ¾ cups sugar, salt, oatmeal, and butter in a bowl and mix until the mixture is in large crumbles. Sprinkle the mixture over the fruit, covering completely.
  • 4
Bake for 50-60 minutes until the top is brown and fruit is bubbly. Serve warm.
  • It may look like the topping may not fit over the fruit, but it will, and it will get crispy and delicious!
