Curd Rice

  • 1 small piece of ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp coriander leaves, chopped finely
  • 2 green chilies, chopped finely
  • Salt, to taste
  • 3 cups plain yogurt
  • 6 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1 dry red chili, cut into pieces
  • A pinch of hing (asoefetida)
  • 1
    Mix the ginger, coriander leaves, green chilies, and salt into the yogurt.
  • 2
    Add yogurt mixture to the cooked rice. Mix well.
  • 3
    Season with mustard seeds, curry leaves, red chilies and hing.
