Boerenkool met rookworst

Boerenkool with smoked sausage is a typical dutch dish
- cow cabbage (tree cabbage) 1,5 kg freshly sliced thinly (or 500 gr. frozen)
- 1 kg patatoes (crumbling cook kind)
- 2 smallll onions (optional) chopped fine
- 125 gr chopped bacon
- 1 dl mmilk
- little shot of vinegar (yellow)
- pinch of nutmeg (optional)
- 1 smoked sausage
peal and chop the onion, boil, and later fry them with bacon
peal patatoes, chop them in big parts, boil them with little salt in 20 min.
boil cabbage in 20 min. or follow direction of package
fry bacon brown and crispy and add onion to it and bake for some more min.
heat up sausage as in instruction
heat up milk
strain patatoes after boiling and mash with milk
strain cabbage and put in with patatoes, together with bacon/onion, vinegar and fat from frying and mix together
season is optional with little salt and pepper
