Pasta With Broccoli and 'Shrooms

Pasta does come in varieties that don't include tomato sauce and meatballs. If your family doesn't believe you, introduce them to this.
- 1 (16-oz) box angel hair pasta
- ¼ cup butter or margarine
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 cup frozen chopped onions
- 1 tbsp bottled minced garlic
- 1 (10-oz) package frozen broccoli florets
- 1 (8-oz) package fresh sliced mushrooms
- ½ cup dry white wine
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
In a large pot of lightly salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and transfer to a serving dish.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter or margarine; add the olive oil, stirring well to mix.
Add the onions and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
Reduce the heat to medium. Add the garlic, broccoli and mushrooms and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, an additional 10 minutes, or until the broccoli is desired tenderness.
Add the wine; simmer uncovered, for 5 minutes.
Pour the sauce over the pasta; sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese; toss well to mix.
