Miley Cyrus at the Billboard Awards.....
So I turn on my computer and the first thing to appear on Yahoo mainstream is "Miley Cyrus pantsless at the Billboards." Curiosity took over so I clicked the image to see what was the controversy. Well in my opinion it was nice and sexy for her age and figure. So why the negative publicity about her. Granted she was Disney's Icon for little girls but she grew up. They can't continually judge her because of what media catergorize as "reckless behavior" when she is just growing up. She can't stay Hanna Montanna or whatever forever. So parents do you oppose this outfit...better yet if you know your teen daughter would you oppose them dressing in this because of what others might assume? Please share

That outfit was not horrible per say but I have seen some recently where she is bending over and you can see her butt or where she is clearly not wearing a bra.
I just find her tacky and a poor role model (and just plain annoying)

I agree. I believe social media just take jabs at her because she was once a Disney Kid. I appreciate the songs by Miley but I regret how they give her such a hassle. Great points you've made.

I will say that the outfit was not my style. I don't care if it is Miley or Rhianna wearing it, it just looks like they forgot the rest of their outfit. Although I don't think they should be making that big of a deal about it. If I remember correctly Rhianna wore a dress like that out somewhere. I don't think they gave her as hard a time as they did Miley.

I agree she's an adult so she should be held to the same standards as other women. That said, I do think the outfit was a bit too revealing (for anyone, not her in particular). She's not the only one though; I think some of the dresses go a bit too far, too. Obviously this is a matter of personal opinion and everyone has their own standards. Like one of my friends said though, I think if you go daring in one area (i.e. plunging neckline OR super short skirt) that works, but going daring in multiple areas looks a bit classless. And yeah, just not a fan of that style because it did look like just a blazer with no shirt or pants. Just looked incomplete IMO.

what's funny about this to me is that there are chicks that show up at hteese things in dresses that are just as revealing, but b/c this thinkg looks like a jacket suddenly it's unacceptable?
ha! didn't even consider that. seriously though. what the hell.
people are stupid like that.

I don't think it's an appropriate look for a teenager. But Miley Cyrus is an adult at an awards show... I think it's totally appropriate and agree with you that it actually does like good on her.
Yahoo News is the worst, if you ask me. They make more non-issues into issues than Fox News. =)
