What's the "going rate" for graduation gifts?
I realized it's been a long time since anyone close to me (other than my own classmates) graduated. This month my best friend is graduating with her MA and a girl I baby-sat for from the time she was 2 weeks old (very close to her family and she was my junior bridesmaid) is graduating from high school. They're both really far away so I can't be there in person; wondering how much to send as a gift, curious what the norm is these days.

Thanks! This is the range I was thinking so that's good to know. :)

LOL we give HS grads $25 and we give College graduates a book or a card with little bits of wisdom. When I graduated college I got a pat on the back and a $200 student loan payment LOL

Depends on the degree. We give High School graduates $75 and it increases as the degree does.

My sister and nephew graduated this year and we gave them both $50. I don't know how much I would give to non family members. Probably around $25.

When my guy's friends' sons graduated h.s last year, we gave them each $50 cash.

I don't know....call me cheap but I'd probably just send them each a $25 gift card.
