Recipes that have been hits with the kids?
What are some things you've made lately that your kids have really liked?
I was pleasantly surprised by how much my boys (who have never really liked fish) loved this recipe last night:

Alex even said he liked it "better than cookies"!! :) The one change I made was adding 1/4 c. of Italian seasoned bread crumbs in place of 1/4 c. of the parmesan cheese (since I only had 1/2 c. of parm on hand!).

My five year old is in love with meatballs, and I found an awesome recipe on Pinterest that he just can't get enough of. He asks every day on the ride home from school, "Can you make me meatyballs tonight?" LOL
Recipe:
1 lb. ground beef
2 eggs beaten with 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup grated parmesan
1 cup bread crumbs
1 small onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tbsp oregano
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup fresh basil
Mix it all up and make into meatballs and cook at 350 for 30 minutes. Sooo tasty! He will eat them happily with a veggie stir fry on the side.

I wanted to find a good homemade brownie recipe and came across this one- I was a little skeptical because my kids hate zucchini but I decided to try it! oth my kids loved it and they never even knew the zucchini was there! My son asked me to make these for his birthday even!! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/zucchini-brownies/

Rosie has been asking for a lot of breakfast for supper. She is very picky, so once she likes something she asks for it constantly until it's no good. Lately, I've been making her bits of breakfast to go with her supper so that she'll eat it all. Sauted mushrooms and sausage with her veggies is usually her supper and she fancies that quite a bit.

Thanks for the ideas!Sara, I feel your pain. ;) My boys have gotten a little better over the past 6ish months (thanks in large part to Alex's feeding therapy and doing things like food chaining) but we have been there!
And Olivia, any meal is fine.

We haven't really had time to really cook a proper dinner lately, just too bloody exhausted! We've done really simply (not so healthy meals) lately.. Did you want just dinner ideas?
bubbles and squeak- that's always a hit. My boys like it with cabbage.
Lancashire hotpot- longer cook, my mum made this for the boys one night. Mainly lamb, carrots and potatoes.
Asparagus ricotta pizza
bacon spaghetti with courgette
tuna & vegetable pasta
That's all I can currently think of! Like I said, minimal cooking has been going on here.

Those sound good! Would either of you mind posting the recipes?
Sure thing!
I follow the Pillsbury recipe for the chicken pot pie. The only thing I change from this recipe is I don't add onion (it adds a different crunch and texture to the creamy mix that I don't enjoy) and the broth and veggies are just whatever is cheapest (I like Rachel Ray's brand broth).
For the Ricotta Stuffed Squash I used this recipe.

My kids love homemade pot pies. They could eat it every single day! Luckily, they aren't difficult to make. In the colder months I probably make six pies a week (about six slices per pie), they last about two days in our home.
I was really surprised by how much they all loved Ricotta Stuffed Squash. I made it last week and they were begging for more. I'll have to make it again soon.
