Do you smoke? Does your family or friends?
I have just been noticing that it seems like I see less and less people smoking. I smoked for many years so it was just so common and I was around it all of the time - now I hardly see it.
I have 1 friend who smokes and so do my brother and SIL but that is it

I don't smoke either does Ryan (My DH). My grandma use to smoke in fact when I lived in the south I remember buying them for her because they have always been cheaper her.
I do have a few friends who smoke but I make sure they do not smoke around my kids because one of my DS has respiratory problems and I don't want to add to them.

I have some friends who smoke, but I never really notice it much, since I have a strict no-smoking policy in my home. It's the same with bars, cafés and clubs, so I think that's why us non-smokers don't see it so much...which I'm only happy about :)

My parents both smoked way back in the 1960s, but quit before my sister and I came along. I remember growing up with a grandmother that smoked, but she passed away 20 years ago. I've never smoked and no one in my immediate family smokes, including both my side of the family and my husband's. While I do see people smoking when I go out, it doesn't seem typical for the circle of people I see most often (mainly mothers of small children and family).
I once worked in an office that allowed smoking, which I didn't realise was even legal until I worked there. My boss would puff away in his office, while I sat at my desk down the hall with two air purifiers going non-stop. My skin smelled like smoke and I'd actually get this black soot in my nose. It was horrible and I'm still ticked off that these people constantly put all their employees at risk (I spoke up often about how it bothered me). Not surprisingly, I lost all motivation at doing well at that job. I just hope I have no long term health issues due to the second hand smoke.

My husband smokes and I used to...it is tough but so worth it.
I was wondering if you quit but I didn't want to seem like a nag. Congratulations - that is an accomplishment!!

I used to smoke pot. I stopped when the year before I had my daughter due to budgetary constraints, stopped officially because I was pregnant then when my daughter was a few weeks old, when I was ready to start smoking again as I had stopped trying to breastfeed I decided not to ever smoke or be around her stoned. In the past 7 years I can count the number of times I have smoked on one hand. Before however I smoked almost every day, for more than a decade. I was never into cigarettes, they tasted gross and made me feel like I was about to pass out (I was told by a smoker I wasn't doing it right... you smoke cigarrettes differently than you smoke pot I guess). My husband doesnt smoke, he never was into smoking pot, the first few times he did it was with me. Every once in a very great while (less than once a year) when he's drunk he will smoke a cigarette, dump alcohol on the ground for his grandparents and pray... I wouldnt really call that smoking though, not sure what to call it.

No, no one I have ever known has smoked. In fact, I could go years in my hometown without seeing someone smoke.

I also used to and so did most of my friends and husband... now we don't and I only know a few people who do. It's just not as accepted now and harder to enjoy when you have to go to designated areas.

I've never smoked. I've always had a hard time being around it; it gives me a headache. None of our family smokes that we know of. I have a few friends who smoke, but they never smoke around us. One of my kiddos has breathing issues so I'm glad it's easier to avoid these days.
Remember when you use to be able to smoke in restaurants, movie theathers, and malls??

My SO & I both used to until we found out I was pregnant, than we both stopped cold turkey.. This was over 2 years ago. Both of our parents smoke, and our siblings. Alot of family members have quit though.. Now that i dont smoke aymore, I hate being around it, or having my daughter around it, I hate the smell, I hate even going near someone if theyve just finished one, blah!!!!

I used to smoke...gave in to peer pressure an' all that. I quit immediately when I had Autumn. No one in my family smokes but I have quite a few friends who are social smokers though.
I tink in the UK, it is actually dying down a bit. Mostly the people who smoke are teens who think its 'cool' and the older generations where it was just 'the thing' to smoke. Plus, here it is also Stoptober where everyone tries to quit smoking for 28 days.

I don't smoke neither does Jack. We have quite a few friends smoke and lots of people I work with (I'm a photographer) take fag breaks quite a bit. I've never gotten into it. I'd hate to have 'smoker lines' when I'm older! eek!

I do not and never have and neither does my SO. The only people in my family who do these days are older family members.

My best friend smokes, I'm trying to get her to quit or at least switch to electronic cigs (no second hand smoke). I myself and my SO haven't ever smoked, but we have friends who do, though they smoke outside and not in our apartment or vehicle.

Smoke what? haha. No, I don't smoke at all. Never could get into it, but definitely have tried it. I don't know anyone who smokes cigarettes, but I do know those who smoke pot. (namely my aunt)

My husband smokes. I haven't in a few years. All of my family and friends do. It is not a dying practice in the UK.

No, no and no. Thank goodness! It does seem to be less frequent these days.
