Hey everybody^^

So my boyfriend and I just got engaged two weeks ago and we're both very excited! Been together for 4 years and have a little son (4 months old). It's just that we have no idea how to plan this wedding :P... It's not really tradition in my family to get married, so it's not something I'm very familiar with.

We're gonna have the wedding in Copenhagen, Denmark (where I'm from and where we live), December 2013. My boyfriend is from Italy, so his family will come up here for the wedding.

Anyway, are there any of you who has some wedding planning tips that will help?? Money is not a concern, so be creative :) Also, for those of you who are not very familiar with Danish culture: We have pretty much the same wedding traditions as in the US :)

And! We're not religious in any way, so that will not be part of the wedding.

Hope you can/will help me :)

My god, I never even thought of hiring a wedding planner! It's not really common in Denmark to do so and maybe that's why I didn't think of it :)

I'll definitely hire one^^

Thank you for the advice and sweet messages :)

I agree with momkey; if you can afford a good wedding planner, I think that would make things a lot easier! Also, I found www.theknot.com helpful in planning my wedding. Have fun! :)

I agree with this.

Congratulations and good luck!

Small and somewhere beautiful and meaningful to you and your boyfriend. I was married on the beach beside an estuary, there were 4 people in attendence including my 6day old daughter.

I would hire a wedding planner since money isn't an issue!  The biggest reason for that is, they would be present at the wedding to make sure everything is running smoothly so you and your guests can just enjoy the day!  Money was an issue for me, so I had to make sure the caterer's were there, the cake arrived, and the reception was going!  I really can't say "I enjoyed my wedding!"  It was nice, but it was work!

For our ceremony we did the candle lighting service, which I thought was a nice symbol of the two families uniting!
