Good Date Ideas to Relax as a Couple

Can't remember the last time you were able to chillax with your honey? Schedule that sitter and carve out some time for a date to relax. Here are good ideas for slowing down.


Spa time. A spa is almost always a good idea! Book a treatment at your local spa or make a date for at-home spa treatments.

Take a yoga class together. Breathing. There's an idea! And the flexibility stuff has other benefits.

Cook together. When you're not slinging out the family meal between homework and swimming practice, preparing a leisurely meal together can be a good way to relax and reconnect.

Hang at a wine bar. Usually quieter and more sophisticated than a bar bar, a wine bar is a good place to savor the vino, and each other.

Take a walk. Explore a new park, hike a trail, find a deserted beach. Hold hands. Smooch.

Embrace your inner bookworm. Head out to a bookstore and peruse the shelves. Try to find books for each other. Find a comfy spot and read a magazine cover to cover.

Dive in. Take a swim at your local pool or if you live near the water, plunge in together for a little water play.

Go antiquing. Whether you're window shopping or furnishing a whole house, it's hard to rush through stores loaded with fabulous treasures.
