Romantic Date Ideas: Must-Have Items for a Romantic Date
It's been WAY too long since you and hubby have spent time together (beyond falling into a parenting-induced coma at the end of the day). Time for a romantic date! We've got ideas for must-have items for your precious few hours of grown-up time.
report abuse- Candles. Set the mood with low lighting and a sexy aroma. We all look better by candlelight.
- Flowers. Really, would he buy them anyway? Order an arrangement yourself; maybe even scatter rose petals in strategic places.
- Wine. Or beer. Or cocktails. Or herbal tea. Whatever floats your boat, and helps you unwind for a little me-and-you time.
- Dinner. Danielle Steele heroines never go to bed hungry; you shouldn't either. Have dinner at home or make reservations at your favorite restaurant.
- Breath spray. You forgot to steer clear of the garlic. It's ok. That's what Binaca is for.
- Gas-X. 'Nuff said.
- Shapewear, sexy lingerie, and five minutes alone in the bathroom (to transition between shapewear and sexy lingerie). You are a hottie. Nothing wrong with a little help with the trouble spots.
- iPod with romantic playlist. Keep your groove on, and be sure not to shuffle through the Wiggles ('cause there's nothing romantic about them...).
- Massage oil, edible body lotion or paint. Anything that doesn't smell like baby lotion.
- Fresh sheets. At home, in a hotel room. As long as there's no kid drool or baby spit up, you are good to go.
- Cell phones and computers locked away. It's time for the book of love, not Facebook.
- Reading material. And speaking of the book of love, it wouldn't hurt to brush up on a few moves, or maybe try out some new ones.
- Time. Even if you skip all the rest, time is what you really need with one another. Look into each others' eyes and remember why you became parents to begin with.
