Sex With a New Partner When You're Newly Single

I'm recently single and nervous about having sex with a new partner. How can I get over my nerves?

What you are experiencing is completely normal. When people are in a long-term, monogamous relationship with one person, they generally feel pretty comfortable in the bedroom with that individual. But when people start a sexual relationship with someone new, they often worry about a number of things. People question whether their new partner will like their body, genitals, odor and sexual techniques.

It is best to take things slow. Relax and don't put too much pressure on yourself. Try to remember back to when you first started dating your ex. You were able to move forward in the sex department back then. And it's completely fine to tell your new partner how you are feeling about becoming sexual once again. If he respects you, he will move at a pace comfortable for you.
