Volunteer at Your Kid's School

Like many moms, I am a member of the "Super Mom" club. I work two jobs, take care of my three great children, clean, cook, chauffer, rescue stray animals, etc. I do have two days off, and I found the best way to spend three hours on one of those days is at my 6-year-old daughter's school volunteering.
I help in the library. If something comes up, I can take the day off, but I try not to. I feel beneficial and meet a lot of others. We network together, and I know everything that goes on at the school. My daughter loves Wednesdays because she and Mommy get to ride into school together. It's fun, rewarding and I think others would enjoy this, too—even if they can only give one day a month! Volunteers are still needed everywhere, and there are fewer and fewer these days, unfortunately!
