Environmentally Friendly Toys

In the market for some green toys? No, we're not talking frogs and gators and turtles, but environmentally friendly toys for the kid who likes to spend his time lecturing you on your carbon footprint—or for the parent who would prefer to leave a smaller one.
  • Mighty Muggs Iron Man: Iron Man and his hero buddies (Spider-Man, Wolverine et al) are helping to save the world in more ways than one. These ultra-hip toys are made from "100% recycled awesome."
  • Kapla 200-Piece Wooden Building Set: This environmentally friendly wooden building toy is made of pine blocks from renewable forests and offers open-ended play so kids can explore and expand their creativity while you get to feel good about saving the planet.
  • Dynacar: Batteries not included, or needed! Kids turn the ingenious, foldaway crank arm to charge the dynamo engine for hours of supercharged fun featuring lights and sounds. (Unfortunately earplugs aren't included, either.)
  • Green Toys Tea Set: Made from recycled milk containers and other environmentally friendly materials, this 17-piece play set gives a whole new meaning to "green" tea.
  • Dado Cubes: Combining art and science with open-ended play, these 10 slotted cubes are scaled from 1 to 5 inches. Hours of green play for them. Hours of green peace for you.
  • Mr. Elephant and Friends: Handmade with 100 percent hand-woven cotton cloth, Mr. Elephant, Lion and Giraffe are eco-friendly jungle dwellers that are very close to nature indeed.
  • Planet Pixies: These cute 100% organic cotton dolls are not only good for the earth, they teach your kid how to be kind to it too! Each environmentally friendly doll comes with a story about the struggles of its habitat (the Everglades, Arctic and Amazon) and what your kid can do to help.
