
Gardening With Kids: Plant Tulip Bulbs

Just because you didn't plant bulbs last fall doesn't mean you can't have a colorful garden this spring. In midwinter, stash some bulbs in your refrigerator for six weeks to force them to prepare to bloom. Then plant them outside and you'll have flowers in time for spring. Now if only you could figure out a way to make your winter last for only six weeks—and get yourself some spring color.
