Try a divide and conquer technique: divide up the organizational tasks that need done (preferably between you and your partner and not you and the baby!).
Set a timer and try to cleanup and get organized in a set amount of time. Maybe one takes the overflowing pile of mail while the other agrees to battle whatever is growing in the back of the refrigerator. Next week, it's organizing closets and the garage.
