Get Motivated to Get Organized
I have tons of trash bags filled with old clothes (mine and my kids') and can't get my lazy butt up to actually do something about it. Do you have any motivational words to share?

Hey, you can do it! But first maybe you should ask your self why you're having trouble getting organized when you know it needs to get done. There are two common explanations:
1. Lack of time Okay, so most of us don't have tons of spare hours so it's hard to carve out the time to get organized. This is why you actually have to take out your Blackberry or planner and schedule a specific time and day to declutter your house and take all the extra stuff to the donation center, thrift shop, or curb. If it's a lot of stuff, you should ask someone to help you get organized—and they'll need to schedule their time too!
2. Attachment Getting organized depends on throwing things away—and often people develop attachment to a certain item because they bought it on a special vacation or an important person in their life bought it for them. It's important to remind yourself that these tangible things are just things that aren't as important as the intangible things in your life—like your relationships with the people you love and the time you spend together. To get motivated to get organized, remind yourself that the more organized your home is, the easier and faster it will be to find things—and that means more space for the things you truly love and more time for the people you truly love. And doesn't that mean more than a bunch of stuff that's only so-so?
