Saving Time with Online Shopping

This whole "internets" thing has gotten pretty popular among parents. Have you noticed? It's not surprising, is it? You can email friends, talk about your baby on message boards, connect with other parents and, best of all, shop... all while breastfeeding! Now that's multi-tasking.

However, if you're among those who haven't embraced the conveniences of the virtual world, online shopping opportunities alone are reason enough to sit down, power up and log on.

Here are a few reasons why:

Avoid the stress of waiting in long lines at the store by shopping on line. You'll also stay clear of the lady in front of you who's about to pay, but realizes she needs to run to aisle 5 because she forgot paper towels. (And if you're that woman, well, you can avoid running back to aisle 5 for paper towels.)

Search for local food delivery service or look up your favorite supermarket or drugstore; many let you order online and will deliver for a minimal charge. See, Google isn't just a way to see what your exes are up to these days!

Don't forget household supplies, movies, and even books at the library. Order before you go for a quick and easy pick-up.

You can even stock up on diapers, wipes and formula at bargain prices at places like Diapers.com. Amazon also sells baby essentials and will even set you up with a periodic diaper drop so you don't even have to remember to order them. They'll just magically show up as you're reaching for a t-shirt to wrap baby's bottom in.

Check out comparison-shopping sites like NexTag or MySimon to get the best deals.

With your online shopping and internet errands taken care of, your next big day out can be to the local park instead of frantically running around with your to-do list.
