Organizing Your Family Pictures

It doesn't take long to take enough baby pictures of your kid to rival Nigel Barker's life's work. If you keep up at this pace (and you probably will) you're going to need a way to keep them all organized.

Here are some tips to help keep you organized, no matter how many photos you're taking:

If you're shooting film and having prints developed, consider investing in a series of photo storage boxes or photo albums now—even if you don't have enough pictures to fill them up yet. When your baby is a teenager, you'll be glad to have a matching set of photo storage rather than a mish-mash of whatever Target was carrying that year.

Organize.com has cheap, colorful photo storage boxes that hold up to 1,100 photos each.

Album Source carries a wide selection of album styles, including simple, timeless Kraft Binders.

Digital photo organization options are getting easier and better all the time; and many of them are free! Flickr, Google's Picasa, Shutterfly and the like all offer online photo storage and organization with the option of sharing your stored photos with family and friends and ordering prints online.

And don't forget to upload your favorite photos of your Next Top Model to your LifeBook! Many of the online photo sites can work with your LifeBook, too, so check our LifeBook FAQ to find out how.
