Organizing Your Home: Toy Storage

If you didn't know better, you'd swear your baby's playthings were breeding nightly and producing more toys. Grandma and Grandpa aren't helping any by giving your kid new toys every time they stop by your home.

Until you figure out how to stop it, you don't need to rely on old cardboard boxes when organizing your home. There are tons of options available when it comes to organizing your home these days.

Here are some suggestions on how to at least make it look like you don't own every toy ever manufactured:

You gotta love Ikea for inexpensive, smart storage solutions for organizing your home. They have an entire online section devoted to kids storage and they deliver to your home! With stores like Ikea, Target and Wal-Mart, organizing your home has never been so easy (not to mention inexpensive!).

Storage solutions for kids don't have to be designed for actual toy storage, either. There are plenty of attractive laundry baskets on the market that can double as toy storage for your home.

Consider innovative toy storage. All those plush animals can hang in a wall hammock and get rotated out as your baby's interest in them changes. (The same goes for storing toys up and out of the way on high shelves.) Or look for benches or tables that double as toy storage that will suit your home decor. A design that matches your decor will get a lot more mileage than one decorated with pastel yellow ducks.
Now if only someone else would pick up all those toys and actually put them away!
