Taking Care of Yourself When You're Busy Taking Care of Everyone Else
When you're a mom, it's hard to carve out a sec to take care of yourself. There are kids to feed, spouses to romance, work to be done. There just simply aren't enough hours in the day! But one thing that's for sure is that if mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. So make sure you take the time to take care of YOU! Here are some ideas:
- Work out! It's not only good for your self-image, exercise helps you live a longer, happier, healthier life.
- Carve out "me time"! Make sure you take a moment (even five minutes) every day to focus on yourself. Whether it be taking a bath, putting on makeup, reading a book. You need a little downtime!
- Eat well! It may be tempting to scarf down Jr's leftover mac n' cheese, but eating a healthy, balanced diet (sitting down!) is important!
- Get enough sleep! This one is easier said than done, especially if you're a new mom. But try and get as much rest as possible. You deserve it!
