When Is the Right Time to Have a Baby?
If you're waiting for some magical sign that it's time to have a baby, keep on waiting. And waiting. And waiting. It's pretty rare that couples wake up one day and say, "Today is the day we make a baby!" That said, experts say you're more likely to enjoy the experience of parenthood if:
you have a realistic, down-to-earth idea of what parenthood is really like (endless crying, blown-out diapers and all);
you're willing to make the sacrifices required to be a parent, such as putting someone else's needs before your own on a daily—even hourly—basis (you know, giving up your once-sacred Sunday morning coffee and newspaper marathon because some little cutie wants to go for a walk in her stroller);
