Aside from your partner or coach, who do you want in the delivery room?

I had my husband and my 2 best friends the first time and it was a wonderful experience. I will do it the same way this time.

I only want my husband there, no one else. But then again I would want my mom outside on standby just in case my husband passes out. You never know.

Well since my hubby and the sight of blood aren't the best of friends... I really want my sister to be there.

I intend for my sister, niece, and the father to be there. However, if he fails to show up my sis and nice will be just fine.

Def my mom and my aunt...If my best girlfriend and cousin wanted to be there I would be ok with it...but I never understood why people wanted their dads and brothers or a bunch of men in the room. I understand my dad has seen my bits before (way back in the day) but I am a grown woman it just seems very inappropriate. Besides he wasn’t in the room when me or my brother were born.

If someone cares enough about me, and the baby, to want to go through that messy ordeal with Hubby and me then I say let them. I know my MIL and SIL will try their best to be there. I'd love my own mom to be well enough to travel to be in there with me. My sister is welcome, too, but it would involve a lot of traveling for her, too. Whoever's in there will be bonded to their new little relative in a really special way! New thought.... I guess I should ask my Husband's opinion about all this.

I've thought about this even though I'm not pregnant yet. One of my sisters is a nurse so I think I want her in there, too. I think I also want my Mom in there, if she wants to be. But if she's in there, does that mean I have to have my Step-Mom and Mother-In-Law too? (not that they'd necessarily want to) I just don't need people seeing my stuff!

I want my SO and Mother there. But my mom might be out of town on business the week of delivery.. so i dont know. Maybe just my SO. I dont know how i feel about having my MIL there. My second choice was actually my 16 year old sister.. but my mother doesnt want her in there, thinks it'll freak her out and she'll have nightmares or something. I say it'd be a great form of birth control. =P

Well, I'm having my second c-section, so this time it will be my hubby and my mom. I learned that last time I was completely lonely after hubby had to take our son to the nursery and I had to lay there and get stitched back together. So this time, I want my mom to stay with my while hubby takes baby to nursery.

For my 1st my mom, sister and husband were in there. And with my 2nd and 3rd my mom and hubby. NOW with this one of course my hubby but my mom will probably be watching all the other kids..LOL..which she's bummed b/c she really wants to be in there with me..My husbands family is not around us BUT even if they were they wouldn't be in the delivery room with me..I like keeping my private parts PRIVATE!! I just don't think that's for every one to see...they would be more than welcome to wait in the waiting room and come in right after but NOT during.

the baby. as long as he or SHE shows up in good health then everyone else is irrelevant. i dont want my "partner" in the room just as much as he doesnt want to be there.

Just my DH and maybe my mom. No one else. The others can come in after the baby's born and I'm covered up again ;)

Ive had my hubby and mother at both previous births ... but this time want it to just be me and hubby. We'll have been apart from almost half the pregnancy by the time I give birth, and I want it to be something special between us.

I personally like for a lot of my family to be there. During the delivery of my now 2 year old daughter, I had my husband, mom, sister, sister in law, 6 year old daughter, and also some people were present that didnt actually watch. That included my dad and brother. I feel that it's a new family member coming into the world so it's important to include a lot of family! :)

For sure my momma but I'm not sure about anyone else. It seems like such a private, intimate time. Maybe I'll change my mind as I get closer to delivery (9 weeks).
