Childbirth Classes with Second Child
We're having our second child. Do we need to do childbirth classes again?
If it's been a few years, so you may be rusty. It's actually amazing how much we forget about labor and delivery. You're exhausted beyond belief and suddenly there's a new person in the world, so the gaps in memory are understandable.
The other factor to consider is whether or not you want to try a new approach after your experience delivering baby number one. If it's a new hospital, you may want to at least take the hospital tour so you'll know what to expect in a new environment.
A lot of hospitals also offer sibling classes, which are a nice way to ease your first child into the role of big brother or sister. Check with your hospital to see if they offer this.
