Breastfeeding While Pregnant
Yep. You can definitely continue to breastfeed even if you're pregnant with another baby. Doctors agree that it does no harm to the baby as long as you don't have a history of pregnancy complications, like preterm labor.
That said, there may be a few hiccups along the way. The breast tenderness associated with pregnancy can make nursing a little uncomfortable. Even more painful are the Braxton-Hicks contractions that may be triggered by breastfeeding toward the end of the pregnancy. And because your supply will dwingle significantly throughout your pregnancy (and because the regular milk being produced will change to colostrum), there's a good chance your toddler will wear herself before the next baby arrives. she doesn't (and it's entirely possible), you'll find yourself tandem nursing, i.e., nursing more than one baby at a time.
