Snacks to Ease Morning Sickness
What can you recommend to help ease morning sickness?
One suggestion I have is to frequently eat small snacks that consist of bland foods that are not greasy, spicy or acidic. Although many people recommend simple carbohydrates like bread or crackers, research has shown that foods high in protein have more benefit in relieving nausea than foods high in carbohydrates.
I would recommend grilled chicken breasts, mild skim-milk cheeses, like mozzarella, and low-fat yogurts. In addition, eating foods or drinking drinks (like ginger ale) that contain ginger may help.
I also recommend staying away from food odors. This means that you might need to avoid cooking or being in rooms where food is cooked. It's also beneficial to avoid tasks that can trigger the gag reflex, such as cleaning chicken or cracking eggs.
