I know we're all just confirming our pregnancies, so I hope I'm not alone in here long!

I tested positive on 8/25 with an EDD of May 4th, 2013. I'm through the roof  happy, although worry is sneaking in there too. My DH is 39 and I'll be 44 when I deliver, and I honestly thought my eggs were too old to ever have another.

I have five (yup, you read that right) kids from a previous marriage--I just moved my barely-18 year old son into the dorms at college and my youngest is 15. The rest are grown. My fabulous DH has two from his previous marriage (ages 12 and 8). So this is the ours that completes Yours, Mine, and Ours. The kids are delighted at the news, and so are we!

I've just moved to a new state (MA) and don't know a soul here aside from my husband, his kids, and my MIL. A major downside is that I had to find an OB through the yellow pages because I don't know anyone I could ask for recommendations. I found one, and my first appointment is next Tuesday! I'm really looking forward to taking prenatal classes  for the chance to meet people, if nothing else.  I expect I'll be the oldest one there, but am really hoping to make some friends.

If you're lurking, please delurk and introduce yourself! Aside from our immediate family, we haven't told anyone yet, so I'd love to have some company in here to share the excitement to come!

Hey guys! I've decided to 'delurk' myself. :) I'll be 18 weeks on the 25th. (Merry Christmas to me, lol) I've known I was pregnant since about 8-9 weeks, so I've had time to get used to the idea. My boyfriend and I are very excited, as well as a little scared about what it's going to be like raising a kid. My baby's due date is May 21st, but I'm kinda hoping he/she will wait a few days and be born on the 24th. (I'm sure I'll feel different once I'm that pregnant, haha.) I reaally want a girl, and my boyfriend wants a boy. Typical, lol. I'd really like to meet new people that are going through what I am, so I hope everyone is as talkative as I am! :P

Hey Javamomma!!!

This is currently my first pregnancy and I am 21 weeks as of tomorrow! My little girl is doing wonderfully. The doctors and everyone are very happy with her. She is due on May 3rd :). I am currently going at this on my own as the father is not in my life anymore. I feel her kicking all of the time now, especially with music, she just loves it!

I am only 21 at the moment so most of my friends have never been through this so it is hard to find anyone to talk to about this. My mom is one of the only people that I have to talk to about it.

I hope that everything is going well with yours!!! :)

Had my ultrasound today, it's a boy.  He is healthy and was moving around like crazy. She didnt get all the measurements and things she wanted because i am not 20 weeks yet and he wouldnt stay still so i am going to have another ultrasound at my next appointment in January. but everything is going good and he is healthy so that is what is important! :)

So I had my third doctors appointment Wednesday, the baby is doing good heart rate was about 150. The baby was moving around and she told me the little flutters of movement I have been feeling is actually the baby moving which I was shocked about, I thought you couldn't feel it move until later but I am so happy. I have only felt it move a few times but I am happy and can't wait until I feel it move all the time. I get to find out the sex on my next appointment on 12/12/12 :) I can't wait! Anyone else feeling any movements? Or finding out the sex soon?

Don't sweat not ballooning up yet, I have lost 5 lbs carrying this child and lost weight with my son too. Loosing weight isn't a problem til late in the pregnancy, this early on its fine, particularly if you're carrying extra weight as it is.

Hello everyone, well I am a little far from you guys (in England) but this message board seems so nice. I am now due with my 3rd on the 29th May, 2013. It was quite a shock as I was sterilised last August. It feels very strange as I'm not sure how I should be feeling, I planned my other two girls but because this baby was really not, I feel like I can't be happy and excited even though I want to be. This pregnancy is taking it out of me too, nausea, exhaustion, stomach and abdominal cramps, etc. I also feel a little lost, as after my 2nd little girl who will be 3 in March, I lost 6 stone and now I feel like I'm ballooning out of control. I have already put on 6 1/2 lbs!! I am so worried I am going to end up big again but then part of me is fed up of stressing about it and just wants to go with my pregnancy and enjoy it. I just want to be happy :) I'm sorry if I'm moaning, but its nice to have somewhere to do it, so thank you xx

Your not that far away from me! Haha, I live in England too, North Yorkshire to be precise!

As for me.....

I am very nearly 14 weeks now so I am super excited. I have gained absolutely no weight at all and Im getting slightly worried. Anyone else gained any weight? Is it normal to not have gained weight at this point in pregnancy? With my daughter I remember having gained a couple pounds (i think) at this point.

Also, I have been having really weird dreams about my little baby. Ive been dreaming being at the ultrasound and finding out that it was a boy. I think Ive have this dream a couple times now sooo yeah...weird!

Girlymom, that's nuts! I am a fraternal twin, concieved by a woman with an IUD and we've always joked WE were miracle babies, your little one totally beats us out, only immaculate conception could one-up becoming pregnant while sterilized. I'm sure you have lots of things to stress about, unplanned births rarely aren't stressful at first. I hope you manage to get over all the looming questions that a 3rd child entales, and enjoy the moment.

This is my 2nd DD is May 22nd! We couldn't be happier. A few months ago, we had a chemical pregnancy and the next month, got pregnant so we've been skeptical and keeping an eye out and taking it very easy. I have noticed from my first pregnancy, I was never ever sick. Didn't need to take naps. Didn't vomit etc etc... Now I'm like a nauseous, stomach turning, sick machine. My oldest is 18months (4/26/2011) and his name is Copeland. :) So our 2nd will be names after me and their father Brandon/Caitlyn=Brailyn. Hopefully we have another boy! They're just so much easier imo.

I am due around May 31st with our third. We have two sons 10 and 13 so it's like starting over for me as well. I am 31 years old working, going to college and teaching. Needless to say, I stay very busy. I hope all goes well. For some reason I am more worried this time. With my two sons, I was so young and didn't worry about anything.

I think the older you get, the more you worry. I am 37 and expecting my 3rd. My youngest right now is 9, so I too feel like I am starting over, and I don't remember worrying at all during my other pregnancies. I think as you get older and wiser, you realize that there are so many things that can go wrong. But I guess we will just have to pretend we are young again (not that you have to pretend much, because you are still pretty young). And the farther along we get, the less the chances are of anything going wrong, so hopefully the worry will get less.

Hi javamomma! I was really happy to read your thread. We have a lot in common. I too am remarried and moved clear across the United States away from my family. I have been here for a couple years, so I do have some good friends now, but I remember what it was like to not know anybody. I was homesick for quite a while and could not even imagine being pregnant and away from my family, but I adjusted and I am sure you will find some friends that you have a lot in common with, especially through the prenatal classes. I am 37 years old and have two kids from a previous marriage. My husband does not have any kids of his own, so I am very excited for him to have this experience. We had a miscarriage in March, and I too was beginning to feel like maybe I was too old, so I can relate to your worry too. But things are going well so far this time. I pray that things will continue to go well for both of us.

Hi Everyone!

I have decided to "delurk," myself! I am 10 weeks tomorrow, and my EDD is May 21st. I am 24 and this is my first pregnancy, and I couldn't be more excited (and mayble a tiny bit nervous, as it was unplanned, but I have always wanted to be a Mommy.) I am also living in MA (Howdy Javamomma!)

I found out I was pregnant at the end of September and have since had the chance to see my baby-to-be 3 times (the first ultrasound was done to figure out how far along I actually was, the second to see if the heart rate increased which it did, and my doctor was curious and did the third one himself.)

I have told my parents, coworkers, and one close friend, and I have decided to wait a couple more weeks to let everyone else know as well. Although, my friends aren't making it very easy, as they have offered me beer after beer and are confused as to why I am refusing, I'm sure if it doesn't make sense yet, it will surely make sense soon.

I am excited to hear about all the other experiences the Mom's to be of May are going through. As I am doing as much pregnancy reading as possible, it does tend to get a little boring and repetitive after awhile. I look forward to learning from all of you and I'm glad there is a place I can go to feel like I'm not the only one! :] Congratulations everybody!

Hoping for a healthy baby (girl) lol but we already have names picked out for both genders :)

Okay, so we told the family! It was great fun and they loved the idea of the fortune cookies! Big success! On that very same evening, my sister, McKenzie, also announced that she is pregnant. She is due May 6th just 6 days before Im due. Im really really excited to be preggo buddies, aha :) She has a daughter and son already named Harmony and Rocco, so Im very interested in what they are picking for baby 3! Something unusual and trendy no doubt!

As for me, Im nearly 12 weeks and on Sunday we plan on telling the family. It has been the most agonizing wait but I just really wanted to wait until 12 weeks because thats when the chances of miscarriage dramatically drop. I think my parents have suspected something because I am refusing wine though, aha!

So far, I have actually gained no weight which I find strange. Anyone else around 12 weeks and gained nothing. With my first baby, I had gained 1lb by now. I haven't been sleeping to well lately because I wake up in the middle of the night and really early in the morning dying for a drink. I have just been so thirsty lately. Uhh, yeah, so Ill update you on how the telling of the family goes! :)

We told everyone today, I am 10 weeks 5 days, we were going to wait until 12 weeks but just couldn't wait any longer. :)

This is my first pregnancy and I was TERRIFIED at first. I am very excited now but the 'scaryness' still creeps in on me every once in awhile. My baby is due May 12th and I love that I will have a spring baby :) My fiance and I have already picked out names (boy & girl) and have started our shopping early. I can't wait to find out what I am having; when can I find out?

No way, your due May 12th as well! Thats so cool! Im pretty sure you can find out the gender around 18-20 weeks. Although I have know people find out at 16 but its not always 100% accurate. Im interested in knowing what names you have picked out?!

Had my second doctor's appointment today. Finally got to hear the baby's heartbeat :) such a great sound! She said that was the strongest heart rate she had heard for only being 10 weeks in a long time so yay. So the baby is doing great and I'm a happy mommy. Still having pretty much constant nausea and always tired but the baby is doing good and that is all that matters! How is everyone else doing?

Hello May Mommies! I am about to have baby #3, I had decided to get tubal litigation but was kind of wanting a 3rd so I got off the birthcontrol, made an appointment to talk to the doc and waited to see what happened. The baby happenned, so here we go. There was another mom who was secretly hoping for a twin, that was me too. I'm also a twin but my brother is still alive and well. It was so awesome being a twin that I have been half-hoping half-dreading twins since my first. Alas I am not having twins, but that's possibly for the best. I have two more kids, a daughter who is 5, will be 6 in December and is in 1st grade and a little boy who just turned two last month.
