Myth: To maximize your chances of conceiving, you should make love during the days leading up to and following ovulation.
Close, but not quite the whole truth. It's true that having sex the days right before you ovulate is a good idea: just in case you ovulate a little early. But, having sex after you ovulate doesn't up your chances of getting pregnant. The egg only survives for 12 to 24 hours after ovulation, so sex after that time frame is just for fun.
