Sorry, but the truth is that, after a vaginal delivery, you're gonna swell down there—a lot. Postpartum healing after a vaginal delivery takes some time, but there are things you can do to help. Try buying some small freezer packs (thin bags, not big plastic rectangles) or a few bags of peas and keep them in your freezer. You'll be beyond grateful in your first postpartum days to be able to ice that area gently back down to a recognizable size.
