When your pregnant your pelvis widens to make room for the baby. The popping and clicking is the pelvic bones moving and adjusting.

This was not what it was for me...  It was always up towards the top of my belly.  I could put my finger on where I felt it and heard it.  I still think it was her ankle popping!  I doubt it really was, but that's what i'm sticking with :)
Well you're a freak of nature. Lol. The Dr told me that the popping could travel upwards (like water ripple effect if that makes sense). It could also have been your rib or maybe your spine?
AJ wants to boil me in a hot tub and eat me.  Who's the freak of nature now?  lol
btw...I read that twice and read it as 'nipple effect' both times.  Weird...
Hey.. it was a JOKE. I was preparing you for the poop story lol. You love me. And quit thinking about my nips!

I'm so glad you asked this question because I've been getting them too! Mine happen when I'm laying down on either side and have gotten so bad that when it snaps it hurts. Thanks for answering AJMcG! I didn't get it with my first pregnancy and was totally confused!
You know that is the best answer I hv heard of them all bcs actually thinking about it always come from the pelvic area when she move a certain... at first i was thinking its her lil joints but I can actually feel it... Thx so much AJMcG... Now this actuallu happe to u? see this is my 4h pregnancy and ive never experienced this until now
No problem! It happened to me all the time. From 26 wks til about 34 wks. Then it would do it at night when I would lay for too long. It was my first pregnancy.

No problem! I had it every time I would lay down and then turn over or get up or move my legs. It KILLED! Lol. But after a while it will calm down and won't hurt so bad (usually)

I HAD THE SAME THING!!!!  You are the first person I've ever heard of to have that besides me!  I just figured it was her ankle popping or something.  To me it sounded like it sounds when you crack your knuckles under water.  Which was probably what she was doing in there!

The same thing is happening to me too!!  I am 38 weeks(on Thursday I will be), and these clicking noises have been happening since about 36 weeks.  It's crazy and I have no idea what it is!  I haven't asked my doctor about it, but I probably should.  I just don't think about it when I am in the doctor's office and I really hate calling to ask.  Hopefully it is just the baby kicking something since it does not hurt at all, just the random noise when she moves around.

Hope everything goes well with the rest of your pregnancy and your labor!  We are both almost done, yay!  Soon we can hold our babies and forget about crazy/annoying clicking nosies coming from the stomach!  Hehe.

Glad to know someone else on the board is experiencing this.... one thing for sure you r better than me bcs it hs irratated me so bad Ive cried a couple times bcs of the sound of it thinking my baby bones were broken!!! is that not crazy n everybody has been teasing me about it!!! lol
Thanx for the encouragement and WIsh the best for u and ur delivery as well... Im soooooo glad the time hs come... Im really tired now!!!! how bout Im past tired!!!! :)
