Can Whooping Cough Affect an Unborn Baby???

My younger brothers horrid girlfriend's baby sister has pertussus and is in the hospital for it. Now. Just yesterday, said horrid female, dropped her sister off here and just left her here, without even asking me to watch her. As usual, it happens almost every day. But I noticed she was very very sick. I TOOK HER MYSELF to the hospital because her mother said she just has allergies. Hsve I mentioned the poor thing is less than 2 weeks old?

I'm, well, still not sure how far along I am, I'm thinking around 8-9 weeks, and I have obviously been exposed to this. My 11.5 month old had his shots for it and he seems fine. But I'm just worried for my baby in my belly. Any risk???
