No, I have a 13yr old and 5 yr old. both girls. My boys are tracking really big 95% for twins.  At my last appointment when I was 27 wks  ( jan 20th)  baby a was 3.0 oz and baby b was 2.6 oz.I've been told there is too much fluid around the babies which is called hydroamnios or something like that and the extra weight of that is like carrying triplets. UUUGGGHHH !!!!! I made em look hard they said it's only 2 in there HAHA !!!! The extra fluid landed me on bedrest with only bathroom privledges since Dec 23rd. Good Luck to you too... keep me posted.

Me too!  (d-dy April 16 w/ fraternal boy girl twins).   I'm in the hospital 2x a week for non-stress tests.  As of Friday the 11th, My girl was 3.3 lbs and baby boy was 4lbs and both had steady but low heart reates.  Dr. thinks the boy may be getting too much blood and the girl not enough (??  thought that could only happen with identical twins??)   Shows what I know...Good luck!  First babies for you?  Hope you're feeling good and the 3 of you are healthy!!

As a midwife working on a lovely birth centre in Manchester I know that as Labour Day gets close, anxiety levels begin to rise. It is that very anxiety that will lead to a painful labour. If women can take a step back and start practicing relaxation techniques in the pregnancy then the labour should not be painful. Adrenalin, secreted when we are anxious, has receptor sites on the cervix and can prevent it from opening. That is the main reason for women being in labour for days and days. They are so stressed that their cervix simply cannot dilate. The contractions have to become stronger than normal in order to pull up on a resisting cervix. As soon as you start contracting regularly, sit down and start one of the techniques outlined in my blog at http://painfreelabour.blogspot.com/ If you can, ask to have a water birth as the warm water helps to keep you relaxed and the birth itself is eased by the water. Stay upright in labour to prevent your hard working uterus from having to work against gravity. Sitting on a padded chair or birthing ball is great. In a pool, gravity does not have the same effect so you can lie back a little and relax. Good luck and see you soon. Ann x.

Great! glad I could help! We call ours Baby G because we opted not to find out. or just the baby. I tried not to call it "it" but most of the time I still do. I find that because I want it to be a boy I call it he but feel like if its a girl I will feel bad. haha. We had our 3D ultrasound today and I'm kinda dissapointed. the baby wouldn't move into a good position and even when you could see the face it had its hand there covering most of it. It was optional so it cost us quite a bit to get done. they don't garauntee it so they basically told us we could schedule another one and take our chances of getting a better one but we would have to pay again. I guess we got some good shots. My husband sleeps in the same position so I'm thinking that if that is just the way the baby is at least we caught its personality. Either way it was cute, I just wish we could have seen it a little more clearly. I guess I need to start those exercises with you! The baby was facing my back with its head up by my ribs. my husband was a breach baby at first too and my MIL had to do some of the same exercises. Again, glad that helped! Good luck!!!

@TigerSharkGlinka,

Oh I m all over that website and would do the upside down thing that they suggested after 15th Jan wen i m at my dad's place. :) thank u for interpreting it to me in easy terms dat means alls well with the baby. Hopefully lack of bloodflow dosent harm the little one. And today I felt kicks on the lowers sides n around my navel, maybe it is turning.

Sorry for calling the baby it but cant help we still dnt know the sex, its illegal to determine baby's sex here :(Thank u sooooooo much

AH! that is weird. it didn't post the link. spinningbabies.com lets see if that works if I don't link it! sorry bout that!

and I did a little research and this is what I can gather your ultrasound means.

the first one "*placenta shows few hypoechoic area suggestive of (?) Ischimic area." means there are few dark areas on the ultrasound that suggest a lack of blood flow. It means your placenta is healthy.

the second one "*A loop of cord is seen over nuchal area of foetus." means the umbilical cord is lying over the baby's neck. most cases work themselves out by delivery and even if they don't, 1 loop doesn't often cause complications. It is probably caused by the positioning and once you get the baby in a better position the cord will be too.

We went to our first class and my doula gave us a great website you should check out. it will help with the pain you were talking about and position the baby. I thought of you in class when she was talking about positioning. =)

Also 40 reps three times a day of cat cow yoga pose (aka Pelvic rocks) will not only help with back pain but positioning as well. Pigeon pose as well will help strengthen and flex for labor later.

these exercises were our homework for the week and she pretty much garaunteed that if we stuck with it and were being conscious of how we sit (trying not to sit on the couch as much as possible, no crossing legs, exercise ball, left side lying and not even leaning to the right when sitting) that our babies would get into the right position.

Hope this helps you!!

I am off to go do those exercises that I just reminded myself I haven't done today!

U r my angel in disguise.... Love u bt i guess u forgot to mention the site u were refering to.any ways i did try to find out a doula class or for that matter even a birthing class in any of the hospitals in the whole city and no prizes on guessing I FAILED!Here in India no such facility is available in Cities which r not metro n i stay in one such non metro city.. sob sob... but i will do the cat-cow n pigion yoga position for sure from today itself.I m kind of jealous of all u staying in western countries where childbirth is not taken as just another baby being born but as something special, they care for every iota of emotion n need. I was made to do another sonography on 1 Jan which relli scared the shit out of me coz the language in that report was rocket science and my Oh so great doctor didnt even bother to explain me despite of repetative askings. how i wish i should had stuck to the med school instead of dropping out for a law school.:-/

Does anyone know the meaning of the following medical statement(s)? Plz tell if any one does

*placenta shows few hypoechoic area suggestive of (?) Ischimic area.

*A loop of cord is seen over nuchal area of foetus.

more info on my baby :)

FHR 134 beats/min

Estimated baby weight 1088 gms

Age as on 1.1.12 27 weeks 5 days

Thanks again

Oh I had the same issue... but dont worry everything will be fine. I know we all want a healthy baby and worry ourself to death for this thought. U should relax, take a deep breath, end of the day baby is ur own n it will have almost all your traits. she just wants to trouble mamma a little bit b4 she comes, take it as a baby tantrum n have faith, everything will b fine.

More anxiety u will have more BP so relax. remember even our ansesters had babies n its a normal process. ppl in my country have babies without even a medical aid and they r all alright.

M not asking u to b cold towards da baby but being overly sensitive bout her will make her weak. So for her good be strong, talk to her, tell her ur worries n ur dreams about her. things will turn out well and control ur anxiety n tensions.

Sorry if i sound too preachy but i can feel how u do and da best option is to let ur worries go and u be happy.

MFM yes i have been on a BP monitor for a few tyms now. Hope u do well in it. Good Luck
