I've been breastfeeding for almost 4 months and working out regularly.  I've lost almost 50 pounds.  I only gained 32 in my pregnancy :)

I lost a ton of weight while breastfeeding.  To the point that I had to buy new clothes.  I didn't diet or exercise regularly at that time.  I nursed for about 10 months, then within a couple weeks of stopping I gained 5-10 pounds back.  I guess I was lucky.

I did, but I was only able to BF/pump a month for medical reasons so I would've been losing that first month anyway! I have wondered if I would've lost the rest of the weight faster if I'd been able to BF longer though.

I would say by the time my son was about 6-7 months old I was back to my normal weight. I think it helped some but I don't really know.

they say it helps because you burn calories when you breastfeed. I am 9 weeks postpartum and I am back down to my prepregnancy weight. I gained 28lbs. I say the breastfeeding helped, but that is also because I am eating as healthy as I can because I want to make sure my son is getting nutrition in my milk.

A lost a little bit of weight. Not so much that all my baby weight was gone, but you have to realize that only breastfeeding won't take away all of your baby weight! I was breastfeeding, but I was also taking hour long walks everyday to try and burn some of the weight.

I don't think its so much the breast feeding that makes you lose the weight, but the amount of moving you do once you have a child. My cousin had always been chunkier than myself, but after her first child she had slimmed down to being way skinnier than me. She looked great, because she had been forced to be more active than her body was used to in order to keep up with her baby boy. So long as you eat healthy and drink lots of fluids you should be fine.
