Yup. The loveliness of pregnancy insomnia... I've had it all 4 times. It's great. Usually, I can't get to sleep until around 2:30-3:00am. Then my BF wakes up for work at 5:30am, and his bustling around wakes me up again. Then I can't get back to sleep until around 8am-9am. So I have a bowl of cereal, watch some TV, then go back to bed. I'm up around 1:30pm, still tired. And the cycle repeats. I can be dead tired, but my mind is racing and wide awake. I refuse to take anything for it. I know some OB's prescribe Ambien, but I've heard stories of women who took it and their babies didn't move ALL DAY the following 2 days. I don't need a drugged up fetus. I want my baby healthy. And if that means I need to be on a weird sleep schedule, so be it.
