Featured: Lift your shirt
Has anyone else had co-workers or friends ask them to lift their shirts to see the belly?? I had that happen today by a co-worker who I'm also friends with. I did it thinking it wouldn't bother me, but then after I felt like that was kinda weird.
Has anyone else had this happen to them??

That really sounds pretty odd... I couldn't really allow that... but then i guess it has a lot to do with the level of your comfort with the other person... to each one his/her own...

But with some of the crazy things that have been happening to me while preggo...
That's the prime time for crazies to come out. I've had strangers try to lay their hands on my belly and "bless" my baby. I'm an atheist. That doesn't fly in this airport, sorry.
Funny story... The other night we were visiting friends and the husband rubbed my belly and said "You're doing a good job there, mama". So my boyfriend stuck out his crotch and said "Hey! How about a rub for the boys?? I did a good job, too!".
Haha, oh my gosh I love that!
can I borrow your husband?
Hehe it took me 30 years to find him... I'm not inclined to lend him out
. He's hilarious, though. Never a dull moment around here.

I'll be the odd woman out...It would bother me. Close friends or family rubbing my belly is fine...but the shirt stays down. Co-workers or strangers rubbing at all is out of the question.
I dont like being touch in general. Unless its hubs or my boy. So family can feel Royce kick but thats about it. I'll tell them exactly where to put their hand and once they say they felt it its hands off.
Yup. I'm not one that likes to be touched unless it's my kids or my man. I have trouble even hugging friends. It's kind of a "trust-boundary" issue. I look at it this way. My kids came from my body, I let my man into my body...everyone else needs to back off LOL.

Yeah, I don't mind my coworkers rubbing my belly. It bothered me when some of them would do it when I wasn't even showing. I thought that was extrememly weird. But strangers touching my belly is definitely NOT ALLOWED.
After that experience the shirt is ALWAYS going to stay down now. I just felt like that was a weird request, and I have a hard time saying no to people that I am friends with. But with some of the crazy things that have been happening to me while preggo...It's about time I put my foot down more frequently.

I have lost my modisty a long time ago with this pregnacy. At first it bugged me when people I worked with would groap my belly, and examine where I was gaining weight or where they thought I should gain weight. People in my family every time I see them have to give me the belly rub then lift up my shirt, and pull down my streachy pants so my belly is exposed and give Darian a good rub down. It does not bug me anymore, I have grown to be so use to it. It is our little ritual now

i am pretty close with my friends - so if they asked to see my stomach, i wouldn't care. (if i have a little stubble on my legs, i need to make sure i am wearing long pants because one of my married male friends will want to pet my legs. his wife just laughs.)
i also work in an environment where we work very close. when i say close, there are times were are withing kissing distance from each other. so, if my co-workers asked to see my belly, it wouldn't be a big deal either.
