I found out I was pregnant 24 weeks along the line. I totally freaked when I found out - but you know who was even more scared? My husband! A detective in the force! HA!

Like the other poster said, obviously start taking your prenatals and stop drinking etc, the basics :)
It can be totally scary I understand, my first was a surprise and granted I didn't find out as far along as you were, however I was too scared to tell my family (even though I'd been dating my now fiance for a while) and I was 20 weeks before my family knew about it!
You don't necessarily have to have a baby shower now...I had mine last month around 33 weeks. Right now the biggest priorities should be getting in with a good doc, setting up appointments, things that are directly baby concerned. Also the other poster mentioned a birth plan, definitely a good idea. I didn't do a "birth plan" only because NO BIRTH goes according to plan. I wrote down a "wish list" of things that if things went my way, this is what I would want. I noticed that not having so many "must haves" and just going with the flow made things easier on myself, the nursing staff and the doc, it just made things all around go smoother, especially since my birth plan turned into a C-section.
Once you have the crucial stuff out of the way, go ahead and register for your shower, even if you don't have a date picked out. You're lucky you have a great support system, take advantage of that and enjoy the support :) Aside from that, people on this site are super helpful and if you have any questions just ask! Hopefully everything will go smoothly for you!

Oh wow. Well. First off congrats. Second off, start taking some prenatal vitamins. Those aew the first things to make sure your baby's born healthy. Next, read some baby books and if someones gonna throw a baby shower for you- now's the time. If not, start stocking up on some simple baby necessities. Figure out if you want to formula feed or breatfeed and if this is your first baby, find a good doctor and figure out what your birth plan is going to be.
