. . . I can't believe that I will have a highschooler this up-coming school year. On top of that shock, neither can I believe that I will be starting all over again with a new little one, come Feb 24th. Wow, 14 years apart! Just when I almost had one out the door! LOL

I'm happy, excited, nervous, etc. etc.; its like I'm pregnant for the first time. :-)

Anyone else out there have kid(s) many many years apart?!

Congrats! Well like most the others I dont have kids that far apart but i have met plenty of people that are. My boyfriend he is 25 and he has got a little 3 year old sister that is adorable. (Seems his dad gave up on the grandchildren a little early and had one of his own. LOL) I have noticed that in many of the families that the children both grow up as if they were the only one. which is not a bad thing, its quite awesome! you can have the whole new baby experience again and be able to give them both all the attention. Cuz fact is that teens want to be out there finding there own independence and can take care of themselves (and can babysit, plus!! ) just don't forget that the other child is growing up still to you don't want to make them feel like the new baby is there responsibility and smother them with growing up to fast. but im sure it will be a big help having an extra pair of eyes and hands to help out. Congrats again!

My older sisters Nicole and Kerstin are five years apart and then I was born six years after Kerstin. It seemed like a long time growing up, especially at about 14, my parents were getting divorced, my sisters were moved out so it was just my mom and I in our house. I earnestly tried to convince her at about 50 to adopt a little brother for me so she could also finally have a son, haha. Oh well, I've given her a grandson now. But I think I win 'cause Copeland and Lorelei are predicted to be about a whole 1-2 minutes apart... beat that :)

First of all congrats!! My aunt is in her late 30s and is pregnant again. She has a 21 year old AND a grandson already who is 3 but she is so excited to do it all again! She is due this month actually and couldn't believe she was doing it again but started buying stuff and enjoying her u/s and all the newer things with this new baby! She is having a blast!! Good luck!!

Congrats on your baby.

Like Loviechick I don't have two kids that far apart but Jack had a daughter at 17. She's 8.5 years older then our oldest and she'll be 13 years older than these babies. Good thing, ya have a babysitter if you really need one! :)

I personally haven't, but my fiance has a 20 year old son from very young relationship. He's 18 years apart from my first son...I know for him it was nice since he was self reliant, and pretty much out on his own by the time we had our little one. While it seems kinda nuts to have them that far apart, I'm having mine less than 2 years apart and starting to question my sanity LOL
