Hey all! Just new to this and looking for advice, i suffer from polycystic ovaries so my period is not always on time! However i came of my pill january 2012 and for the last 4 months my period have been pretty much on time give or take a day or 2! Over the last couple of weeks i have been feeling tired and needing to get up for a wee during the night which is not normal! So today 4 days after my period is due i took a pregnancy test and there was a faint line, i then took another and again the line was there but a little faint, does this mean i am expecting?! I also have cramping like period pains, any advice and tips would be much appreciated!

Congrats!!!! I was told with my first that it didn't matter how faint it was, I was pregnant. All of my pregnancies have been that way (on number 3 right now) plus those sign are a really good indicator ;)

One of my good friends has Polycystic Ovaries and was told she wouldn't be able to have children she has two. I have another friend whom I'm not as close with who also has polycystics and was getting a positive pregnancy test but her second test was Negative she wasn't pregnant it had to do with her polycystics and the kind of test she used that gave her the false positive . Chances are if you've been having a regular cycle and getting multiple tests coming back positive and none of them have been negatives your more than likely pregnant even with a faint line. Some tests test different things and since you have polycyctics you may have just ovulated later than you though which means your period may not have come exactly when you though it would, which means the levels of HCG are not as high in your system resulting in the faint line instead of a very clear one. I would definetly get a blood test done to be sure.

With my first pregnancy I had a faint line and wasn't sure what to make of it so I took the clear blue digital test where it would clearly tell you Pregnant or Not Pregnant. Mine came back Pregnant in about thirty seconds. From what I have understood with doctors a line is a line so therefore you are probably pregnant. You may not be far enough along or have enough hCG in your system for the positive test to be bold yet. You could wait a few more days and take the test again, try a digital test, or go ahead and try to see your doctor. Congratulations and wish you the best!
