Hiccups during pregnancy
I have been having hiccups about 3-4 times a day, they aren't long maybe two or three 'hics' and that's it. Last night I had it during the night probably around 3am, just wondering if this is normal and if anyone else has had this?

"What causes hiccups during pregnancy?
During pregnancy your lungs will inhale and exhale 30 to 40% more air with each breath. More than likely you are breathing a little faster. More than likely this physiologically change plays a part in any hiccups experienced during your pregnancy."
I had hiccups ALLLLL the time with my first pregnancy and now am pregnant again and have them again. Not bad, just random and everyday :) nothing to be worried about.

Hey, Did you ever find out why you had the hiccups every day? I'm 4 1/2 months oregnant and have the hiccups EVERY day~ at least once or twice. I've spoken to the dotors and they don't have an answer. Obviously it's related to the pregnancy, since I've only had them since I've been expecting . . . anyone else????

its not a symptom per say of pregnancy . its just prolly your position and air intake while you are sleeping. like snoring almost. all your guts had to reposition to make room for your baby it wouldnt be suprising if yur diaphram gets a little outta whack somtimes. it doesnt effect the babys oxygen intake or anything just annoying

Wait'll your baby gets the hiccups! That's wild when your belly is bouncing that much. My little one started getting them when I was 30 weeks alone- these really rhythmic movements- and still does at least once a week. Strangely enough I have not gotten them the entire pregnancy! Weird.

All the time :]
I'm sure it's normal..I mean we get hiccups when not pregnant so.. :]
"There are many factors that can cause a person to have the hiccups. Eating or drinking too quickly gives some people hiccups. Sometimes spicy food, very hot food, or very cold food causes hiccups. Drinking alcohol can sometimes cause hiccups. Any quick intake of breath -- sneezing, laughing, or coughing -- can lead to hiccups. Sometimes, there isn't any easily identifiable reason."
