LOL, I want some now too!!! With salt!! I ate them one after the other with my daughter. Lemons and limes. Like someone else said I would be worried about the salt. Also though, the acid on your teeth may cause some tenderness or what not. And wear on the enamel. My two front teeth seem to have a different texture now after being preg and eating all them lemons and limes. But I am not positive that it is from them either.

Other than that, eat away!!! They helped with my nausea too!

Lemons and limes won't cause a problem during pregnancy although later on you might get heartburn.

Its the salt I would be worried about....

and thats why they have tums which is a life saver for pregnant women lol i have a huge jar of tums . So far not much heart burns but im sure it will come often further in my pregnancy  ... lol

I am not a doctor, but I have never heard of limes or anything acidic possibly being a problem during pregnancy. As far as the foods they tell you to avoid, it is all because of concerns over bacteria (unpasturized milk or cheeses, deli meats, etc.) Acid doesn't pass into your system. If you are over-doing it, your stomach might become irritated, but I cannot imagine that harming the baby. I guess above anything make sure that the acid doesn't interact with something else, like a medication you need (cranberry juice and some other acids can make certain medicines ineffective b/c they mix in the stomach before being absorbed)...so maybe don't eat the limes and take your mutil vitamin at the same time to be safe.

Boy, if your limes are a problem my hot wings are going to be a problem too. ;) Ask your doc to make sure!
