baby boy names, cant decide~
So we have our 2nd boy coming in October and its either Hunter Neal Edwards or Hampton Neal Edwards. I like that Hunter is masculine and kind of common but love Hampton since it is super unique and not common at all. Thoughts?

Of those three Hudson is definitely the best. Just absolutely not Hampton. I agree with all the previous posts advising against it.
If you're open to other ideas I'd suggest Houston, Harlin or Harrison.

I cant use Holden, thats a baby name for my sisters future boy! :) But LOVE it!
Aww, that's too bad. Well... my vote goes to Hudson then. It has the same feel as Hampton without giving off a pretentious vibe and it's a bit more creative than Hunter. James and Hudson sound great! Good luck!

Please not Hampton!!! I dont mean to sound rude, but I feel that teasing could come with that name, and you might regret it later. I like Hunter a lot, but I might even like Hudson a little better!
James and Hudson work well together.

I like Hudson, Henry, and Holden a lot! Henry is quite common these days, but it fits with James in the classic nature of it. I think Holden could be a good compromise because it doesn't quite have the possibly too-trendy nature of Hudson nor does it have the classic-but-now-popular nature of Henry!

I think Hampton would be best one for your baby. It really sounds unique.

I usually like unique names on boys but for some reason I'm not fond of Hampton. I think James & Hudson sound the best together. How about Hudson Rhett or Hudson Luke? Good luck!

I like Hampton and Hudson the best. Hunter just doesn't have the level of class that James has to me. I think James and Hampton has a more refined feel, while James and Hudson is a bit more-down-to-earth. I think Hudson is a bit more usable, but I like Hampton more with James. Have you considered Holden? I think James and Holden or James and Henry would be perfect!

Our first son is James so it is a common name. James and Hunter, James and Hampton? Now we are considering Hudson. Love the H names! But not sure which one I like best...yet!

I kind of agree with the fact that Hampton could sound a bit pretentious, but if you are looking for a unique name, I don't think Hunter fits! I kind of disagree with the Ham comments, because I think you can just turn it into a cute nickname. I had a friend with a little brother named Abraham whom they called Hammy which I think is kind of cute. Good luck!
Oh, what is your first son's name? That might help us see which fits best with the big brother :)

Hunter for sure. I'm just throwing this out there, I feel like Hampton could lead to teasing if he were to be a bigger child...because it starts with HAM. Just throwing that out there.

I like Hampton Neal best. :) While it might be seen as a bit pretentious a la the Hamptons, I think it's more refreshing than Hunter (which I see being dated quite quickly), and nowhere near as violent, either. :) Hampton is cool, and the nn Hamp might be nice... I know someone else who was considering Hampton Lee... she had a cool nn for it picked out, but I can't remember what it was. It might have been Hamp...
Good luck!

Hm. Of the two, I think I'd go with Hampton. It doesn't sound at all girly to me but it does sound slightly pretentious. Hunter has never appealed to me though just b/c I'm not wild about hunting. ;)
