I have 3 weeks to go until my little girl arrives we have a name picked but my husband and I are disagreeing with the spelling please help

my husband and I were still fighting over it until we received a parcel in the mail today from my husbands grandparents. his grandma had embroided her name on blanket so that is how we decided grandma made the decision for us

My opinion won't make much difference, since it's pretty much the same as everyone else :) Definitely Alya Marie...nice choice btw.

I would spell it the original way: Ayla Marie. The "h" is completely silent, and there isn't any reason for it to be there so I wouldn't go about putting it there. Its needless.

I would go with Ayla Marie. When I see Maree I don't see Marie I say Mar-ee instead of Ma-ree, because I had a friend who was names Maree said that way.

Ayla Marie! The first name looks much more beautiful and feminine this way. And since it's not a traditional name, I would go with the traditional Marie spelling so it doesn't look too "out there". Hope this helps! I'm curious as to which ones you and your husband had picked.
