Rue or Noelle?
I'm trying to finally settle on my Charlotte combo, and I'm torn. Both Rue and Noelle honor my little sister, so they're both quite meaningful. I think Charlotte Eden Rue sounds better without the LN, but Charlotte Eden Noelle Richards might sound better as a whole... WDYT?
Thanks, ladies!

I also like Noelle a lot, but I think Rue has the connections that your looking for in terms of its significance to your family members. I also don't think it's a probably that Ruth in your sister's middle name is after a grandma because it is a part of her as well, not just a part of the woman after whom she was named. It's a cute combo!

@CALE - really, lol? There are more Johns in my family than anything, so I think Jane honors them all very well. But yeah, I am strongly leaning toward Rue.
@Jordan - I actually much prefer Noelle in general, too, but I think I like Charlotte Eden Rue better as a combo. I do like that it is a bit more significant, too. :)

I like Ruth better then Rue this feels very Hunger Game'ish.
Charlotte Noelle is gorgeous, Charlotte Ruth is also pretty and would honor both. Do you need the Eden tossed in there?

Even though I love Noelle :) I can see how much the name Rue means to you and honouring someone is such a nice thing to do. I have changed my mind, aha!, and I think Charlotte Eden Rue Richards would be just as cute as Charlotte Eden Noelle Richards!

In my opinion, Jane seems to plain to represent your large family & Grier seems like a harsh name to me. If Rue holds that much importance to you, it seems like you already made your decision! Good luck!

I'd go with Charlotte Eden Rue because it seems to mean more to you, and I know how important family names are for you and I think alliteration thing is actually kind of cool here if it common within your family. Plus, it wouldn't be a big deal with it being the second middle name!
I am leaning toward Rue for those reasons! I like Noelle better in general, but I think Charlotte Eden Rue just works better... I still do really like Charlotte Eden Jane and Charlotte Eden Grier, though... I think it'll be a miracle if I ever land on a Charlotte combo, lol.

I figured I should add a few extra details... I like the added bonus that the rest of my family has so much "R" alliteration--Robert Richards, Ruth Richards, Rebeca Richards, etc.--so I like that Charlotte Eden Rue Richards would be a nod to all of them. The flow might not be the best but it just reminds me of my family, so I like that.
And Rue would honor both my grandmother (Ruth Mae) and my sister (Natalie Ruth), so I guess that's an added bonus for Rue, but since Natalie's MN is in honor of my grandmother, sometimes I wonder if Rue really honors Natalie... hmm. I'm not sure. Both are so significant, and I really do love both combos...

I definitely love Charlotte Eden Rue but with the last name, I definitely think the R-R thing is a bit much. I'd go with Charlotte Eden Noelle Richards. Sounds beautiful!

Gaah! I love the name Noelle! :)
I agree with you in thinking that Rue sounds better without the last name but Noelle sounds good with your surname. Charlotte Eden Noelle Richards is soo cute!
