We have been considering the name Robin for a boy, but are having difficulty with the middle name. We've thought of Robin Jasper, Robin Eli, and Robin Elijah, but aren't too certain about those names. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Before I had the chance to come in and read your initial idea, I thought Robin Alexander. It's a great name, but, It is more attributed to females, and I cannot think of a single male (Aside from the super famous sidekick) with that name. I would indeed stick with a good strong middle name.  Robin Daniel or Robin Michael, Robin Joseph.

As I said, that's only my opinion, but, I'd for sure give him a strong middle name.

Actor, Robin Williams:) I do like Robin Joseph, but wouldn't it be too weird to have our children have the exact same initials?

My husband is really liking Robin Alexander, we're still looking though.  I have been looking at other classical/traditional middle names. We kinda liked the similiar names, does it seem silly?

Maybe Robin Maxwell? Robin Andrew? Robin David?

Ditto BunkoO on pairing Robin with a really strong masculine middle name.

I kind of think Robin is a bit too close to Rowan (your other son, right?) for me... What about using Jasper as a first name? Jasper Elijah, Jasper Alexander, Jasper Charles, etc. all sound pretty good to me!

Just noticed something. I'd stay clear of Robin Jasper as it sounds like 'robbing jasper' as in stealing a precious stone. : /

I would pair Robin with a really strong masculine middle name, like Robin Alexander.

Robin is cute for a boy!  So nature-ey and a fresh take on Robert, imo.  I like Robin Elijah best...  what about:

Robin Everett

Robin Alexander

Robin Charles (I think this is cute!)

Robin Bennett

Robin Theodore

Good luck!

Not really, I didn't grow up with my family, and although I know them well there are no names I would use. Both of my Grandfathers are Earl(don't like it), and My husband would only be choosing from his mothers side( charles). There is no tradition, so we  are trying to find a name to match our 2 year olds name, Rowan James. My son does get his middle name from someone important to me, but there aren't really any other candidates.

Are there no family names you'd want to use?
