I'm a fan of the Kardashian's and yesterday morning, Kourtney gave birth to her daughter. The new little sister of Mason Dash Disick has been named Penelope Scotland Disick! What a name. What do you guys think of it?

Kinda figured it'd be something stupid. Penelope's cute, but Scotland? What? lol. I've heard America and Asia as names but... Scotland?

Can you imagine yelling the name, "Penelope Scotland, get in here right now!" Ugh... Penelope is gorgeous (also a fave of mine) but Scotland as a name ... isn't my style let's just put it. I'm almost positive that Scotland is after dad Scott, but I don't see the appeal of it on a baby girl OR a baby boy tbh. Penelope Scotland Disik is such a mouthful and I don't think Penelope and Scotland flow nicely. Penelope is such a pretty name... then there's Scotland after it. -.-

I don't like it at all.  It sounds rather trashy, IMHO.  That said, it could be worse, I suppose.  Take "Blu(e) Ivy" for example...  Geez!

I agree, it could be worse. I just don't think place names make good people names (the place names I do like, such as Georgia, were people names before they were place names). And I don't really see Scotland as a way of 'honouring' her father. I think that she has his surname kinda takes care of that, anyway.

Yeah, naming people after places is NMS (unless it's already a well-established name in its own right like Georgia).

Love Penelope. Loathe Scotland. What's next, Turkmenistan? United States of America? Papua New Guinea?

SCotland isn't that bad- especially if her dad's name is Scott! It could be a lot worse.

I love Penelope, and I actually think it sounds really nice with Mason. I don't like Scotland but I was thinking maybe they used it as a tribute to the dad whose names is Scott.

I like it!  I think she could have done much worse, lol.  Penelope isn't great with Mason, but I think it's fine.  I think Penelope's actually a lot luckier than her brother as far as names go, especially since she has fun nicknames like Penny, Poppy, or Lola.

Penelope's not really for me, but I like seeing others use it (especially when they don't go by Penny--I just don't see the appeal of Penny at all!).

Haha, how ironic! My husband said to me last night "What about Penelope Elizabeth Scotland Rose" I actually find Penelope Scotland quite adorable. I love Penelope, I just don't like the nicknames Penny/Nell/Nellie.

As for if it goes with Mason's name.. who cares? I've never understood why all the siblings names have to "match" anyway. A concept I always thought was dumb. Mason & Penelope sound fine together.

I think it's cute! And I'll probably be the odd ball here but I like it with Mason.

Penelope Scotland is cute as a name on its own. I just don't think it goes well with Mason. Mason is trendy but Penelope...isn't?

My point exactly.

Ehhh. It's cute I suppose. I'm not really a fan of Scotland, but Penny is a cute nick name for Penelope.  This one just isn't my style.
