I've been LOVING it lately. My combo has been Ruby Dawn after my mom. I also like the nickname Roo. c= Whatcha' think?

That's my mama's name! I actually love it, but I've never been a fan of naming a baby after someone. I actually thought of trying to use a name that was similar - Scarlett.

I love Ruby, it's actually on my list. I haven't met a Ruby in the UK as of yet (unless you count watching 'Home and Away'). Haha I do like the Ruby Dawn combo aswell, at first I wasn't sure, but i have to admit it's grown on me. xxx Danielle

Ruby isn't a favourite of mine, but it's sweet. I normally wouldn't like it paired with Dawn at all. But if Dawn is your mum's name, it isn't so bad.

I like Ruby. I don't particularly care for Ruby Dawn because it's kinda "phrasey," but if you're using it to honor your mom, it's fine.

 

Ruby Estella, Ruby Alexandra, Ruby Isabella, Ruby Melissa, Ruby Delilah, and Ruby Celeste are my personal favorites.

I love Ruby! :)  Where I live (England) it is a very common name and uber popular, so it doesn't seen 'dated' to me. I find it darling, it was actually on our list for awhile.

Ruby, as well as most gem/birthstone names just seem old fashioned to me. Garnet, Opal, Pearl--all just seem old. Ruby is the best of these 4 though.

 

Sapphire and Jade are kinda cool but may be a bit stripperish. I like the nn Roo/Rue though!
