A Revised List for Baby #1
Hi all :)
I posted a list of considerations for baby #1, who is due in December, about a month ago. I go some fantastic advice which I really appreciate.
I've spent the last month mulling over possible names for our team yellow baby and I *think* we've narrowed it do to these choices. Please tell me what you think.
Baby Girl
Anastasia
Daisy
Alice
Lucy
Ivy
Baby Boy
Harry
Noah
William
Oscar
Luca
Thanks in advance for any replies!

Anastasia- I have always thought this was a mouthful for a little girl. would she be going by any other name? If not then I'm not sure how much I like Anastasia.
Daisy- Short and sweet, but doesnt age very well.
Alice- Classic and beautiful! I love it!
Lucy- also classic and beautiful!
Ivy- Short and sweet and cute! love!
Harry- So sweet and ages quite well!
Noah- Same as Harry!
William- classic, but I always feel like its too common.
Oscar- So spunky!
Luca- My favorite boy name on the list!
So I like Alice or Ivy for a girl and Luca for a boy!

Anastasia - LOVE! It's so pretty, and has lots of nickname potential. Plus it's not super common, but definitely not unheard of. Definitely my favorite of your names.
Daisy - NMS, it just seems too cutesy and childish to me, I can't see it aging well.
Alice - Love this one too! So classy and pretty, yet simple.
Lucy - Classy and beautiful.
Ivy - I think it's pretty, but I've never loved it. I've heard it as a nickname for Vivian though, which I kind of love despite it being a bit of a stretch.
Harry - I like it as a nickname for Harrison better than on its own, but it's a great name. I instantly think of Harry Potter, though, which to me is a great assocation, but it could be troublesome. I don't know if HP will be popular forever, though....
Noah - NMS, I find it a bit boring..
William - I really like it, it's so handsome!! I love both Will and Liam as nicknames, too. It's been used in my family too recently to add it to my own list, but I really adore it.
Oscar - NMS, it seems harsh to me...
Luca - Prefer Lucas, Luca seems a bit off to me.....
Hope that helps!

My daughter is due in a couple of weeks. She is having a girl. She wants to name her Sevyn. (like the number seven) I had a very unusual name growing up and I didn't like it. Does any one have an opinion. Her husband's name is Kevin and she said she picked the name because the # 7 in the bible means complete.
Try asking that question in a separate post, and you'll get plenty of responses. :)

I like all the names except Luca. It just doesn't sound right to me. I love Lucas, though.

The names sound great. Are there any special reason for any of them? I think girls do better with unusual names than boys do. Boys tend to pick on each others names more. If it's a boy I would stay with your more common choices. It's funny how once they are born sometimes we choose a whole different name after seeing them! Good luck and God Bless.

You have a great list. If I were to narrow it down again (top 3?) I would go with:
GIRLS
Alice
Lucy
Ivy
BOYS
Noah
William
Oscar
Great choices! I'm pretty sure you're going to have a very well named baby, no matter what you choose :)

I love Ivy and Oscar, personally. :) I have to say I really love Noah and William, as well, but Ivy and Oscar were the ones that struck me straightaway.
